Why let rain water and dripping water from the AC get wasted when it can benefit your plants? Because I live in the Phoenix area I actually do not have rain gutters (let's just say they're a bit unnecessary here in the desert) but I'll certainly put a bucket under the air conditioner next spring when I crank it up.
