Chrysanthemums, or mums, come in many colors including pink and purple, but they are most known for their gold, bronze, dark red, white and off-white flowers that look so great in autumn flower arrangements. The Greek word Chrysanthemum comes from chrysos (gold) and anthos (flower). There are 13 different classes of chrysanthemums according to the National Chrysanthemum Society.
