Bahia Grass

Description: Bahia Grass is a course textured grass of green or light-green color commonly found in the southeastern, and southern coastal regions of the U.S. It is know for its deep root system at its ability to stay green longer into the fall and winter months.
Pros:
- Excellent durability (for yard traffic)
- Stays green longer into the fall/winter months
- Good for sandy and coastal soils
- Deep root system to help survive drought conditions and erosion
- Generally produces little thatch
Cons:
- Due to the course texture and seed heads, it can be hard to mow and maintain
- Can turn a yellowish color
- Has moderate tolerance to shade, drought, and salt
