Description: Blue Grama is fine-textured native grass with a light green color. Commonly found in the Midwest, upper Midwest, great plains, and Canada were tolerance to drought, high winds, and arid climates is a must.
Pros:
- It is very tolerant of drought, heat, cold, and most soils including sandy and finer soils
- Requires very little maintenance
- Moderate durability
- Mixes well with Buffalo grass
- Survives wide temperature fluctuation
Cons:
- Slow to grow and germinate
- Goes brown and dormant in hot weather
- Can be slow to green in the springtime
