Description: Carpet Grass isn't the prettiest grass in the world, but it will grow in wet-soil areas were others won't. Its medium texture and light green coloring are similar to centipede grasses.
Pros:
- Can tolerate moderate shade
- Likes wet & warm climates
Cons:
- Carpet grass has a shallow root system so it requires frequent watering when it is dry
- It is slow to grow in the spring, and quick to brown in the winter
- Not very durable
Common Growing Region | Watering: Frequent watering during droughts and dry weather. For additional info on watering, see: Watering
Fertilizing: see: Fertilizing Tables
