Nothing accentuates the look and feel of an expertly-manicured lawn like a tasteful lawn decoration. But which decorations are in or out this year? We will talk about the best lawn decoration to reflect your personality and taste.

Choosing the right lawn decoration is no easy task. With so many choices and styles, picking an attractive lawn decoration requires some careful consideration. But never fear. We will discuss the lawn decoration types available in order to help you find the right one.

Lawn Decoration Types:

  • Stones. Stones are an attractive lawn decoration and are perfect to border pine straw islands and flower beds.
  • Statues. Statues are becoming an increasingly popular lawn decoration, and are a critical part of the Asian decorating influence.
  • Bridges. Another attractive lawn decoration is the stone or wooden bridge that is frequently used in pine straw beds.
  • Flags. Choosing a flag for a lawn decoration allows you to pick from a variety of vibrant styles and colors.

As with any other type of accessory, there are some bad styles; pink flamingoes are a definite no-no. Here are some guidelines that you should keep in mind to keep your lawn tasteful and attractive.

Lawn Decoration Guidelines:

  • Current Styles. Resist the urge to select a lawn decoration that was popular in the 70s or 80s. It's not nostalgic, it's just plain tacky.
  • Overdoing It. Too many squirrel or rabbit statues are a bad idea also. Limit the lawn decoration ideas to just a few.
  • Durability. Your lawn decoration should be durable and long lasting if it is to withstand inclement weather.

When carefully selected and placed, a lawn decoration can give that finishing touch to your perfect lawn. Choose wisely, and please stay away from the pink flamingos.
