Herbicides. Insecticides. Fungicides. Fertilizers. Unless you have a degree in horticulture, knowing what, when, and how much to spray on your lawn can be quite a challenge. That's why some things are best left to an established fertilizer company. Here's what you need to know before you call one up. What a Fertilizer Company Can Do for You
Anyone that cares about their lawn knows that keeping it healthy and lush is an investment. But one that's well worth it. A vigorous lawn is aesthetically pleasing, provides an area for recreation, and increases the overall value of a home. Establishing a relationship with a fertilizer company is important:
- Grass. Proper lawn spraying provides nutrients for growing blades. If done timely, your lawn should only require one or two applications each year.
- Weeds. Weed infestations can get out of control quickly. And some weeds only respond to particular mixes. You can spend a lot of money before you figure out the right chemical weapon.
- Lawn Disease. Molds and slimes are common across the country, especially during times of heavy rain. Similar to weeds, only the right product can save your lawn from complete washout.
When to Consider Lawn Spraying
In most cases, lawn spraying is best at the beginning of the season when your type of grass grows most actively. For cool season grasses, shoot for fall and spring. Warm season grasses prefer late in the spring when growth really accelerates.
Your fertilizer company should know the nuances of your region and can make helpful suggestions.
