Whether you're trying to kill an outbreak of lawn disease or add nutrients to a starving yard, there are times when you will need a professional lawn care company. Choosing the right one is key. Hiring a lawn care company for certain services is beneficial from time to time. A lawn care company is capable of handling big jobs with time-saving machinery that you might not own yourself. Lawn care companies typically carry the most potent mix of weed killers and nutrient formulas, which can't be found in stores. Although you will pay more for these services, hiring a lawn care company is a good idea if you're unsure of the project at hand.
The Best Lawn Care Company
- Licensed and Bonded. Before you give a lawn care company your money, find out whether they are bonded and insured. Most of the big name lawn care companies are, but it's still a good idea to check for these important credentials.
- Good Track Record. When selecting a lawn care company, check their history for quality work. Ask for a list of references to make sure the lawn care company has a good reputation with past customers.
- Free Estimate. Many homeowners never ask their potential lawn care company for a free estimate. If the lawn care company refuses, this may be a red flag. The company you are considering should give you a no-cost estimate before you sign a contract.
- Follow-up Visits. Most lawn care projects require some sort of follow-up in order to get the most from the work. Your lawn care company should specify this in the contract.
