If you're looking for a reliable yet economical push lawn mower, consider the
size of your yard and how much power you need. Two popular mowers to consider
are in the Honda HR Series and the Toro Recycler series. Here's an overview of
what to expect with each lawn mower.
The Honda HRS216PDA is a manual push lawn mower with a 21-inch wide cutting width,
a common cutting range that should work well for average sized yards. The lawn
mower can cut grass with a height range of 1 to 3.5 inches, which gives you plenty
of flexibility for your lawn height. The lawn mower also has:
- A steel deck
- Recoil starting
- 5.5 horse power engine
The manufacturer's suggested retail price for this lawn mower is $339, but actual
prices will vary based on individual retailers.
Toro Recycler Lawn Mower
Another popular lawn mower is the Toro Recycler Model 20005, which has a manufacturer's
suggested retail price of $319. This lawn mower has a slightly wider cutting
width at 22 inches. This lawn mower also has can cut grass with a wider height
range, from 1.25 to 4.25 inches. Among the other features are:
- A steel deck
- Recoil starting
- 6.5 horse power engine
Other Lawn Mower Features
Both of these lawn mowers would offer solid performance for the price. As you
shop for a lawn mower, consider which features are important to you. Do you prefer
to bag your grass clippings instead of spreading them on the lawn? If so, the
Toro lawn mower has a standard mulch bag, while Honda sells theirs as an option.
